Camshaft Options

I need some advice. Which one of these would you recommend for a Duel Purpose Lada Rally engine. I need to drive the lada to and from work daily in traffic too.

These are my options:
272 ° / 10 mm: $20,000
296 ° / 11 mm: $22,000
312 ° / 11.2 mm: $22,000
316 ° / 304 ° / 11.9mm/11.3mm: $24,000
316 ° / 304 ° / 13.0/13.0mm: $56,000
324 ° / 15.11 mm: $56,000
328 ° / 12.12 mm: $56,000
328 ° / 304 ° / 12.2/13.0mm: $56,000

I know you may ask why am I asking but it is always good to get information and advise. These are the new range of camshaft for Lada performance. Normally we use Átköszörült but the cost of shipping would be worth more then camshaft. These people will ship for $15nz.

Also do you know if member BAZDA stocks any LADA camshaft?

Alfa has to go (as you are already trying to sell) as the gearbox will keep your baby awake.

You need a sedan or preferably another station wagon. Something reliable and good on gas, also cheap to insure!

I sold my mr2 project (just after i got it back on the road!) for the same reason - i miss my mr2 but wouldnt trade fatherhood for the world!

But people on here have babies and have many thousands of dollars on their cars. How do they manage?

I have no idea, I make a very good wage and have next to no money for cars... I am paying $1300 principle off my mortgage each month though so i guess i technically *could* afford to blow money on cars.

I want to be able to take my kids on heaps of trips around the world when they get a bit older so I have made the choice to be careful with my money now while they are young.

Nothing wrong with having a project car as a weekend car to enjoy - just gotta make sure you get the best bang for your buck - you have to enjoy life while ensuring you are prepared for the future - its all about balance

Some $200 camshafts are not going to break the bank - If they mean that much to you i would go for it.

Just make sure you plan ahead on the Lada, have a total dollar value in your head of the cost, decide what is going to give you the best result per $ and go with that.

You MUST have something to enjoy while you are raising your kids, but you wont get much time to do it some make sure its something you really love that doesn't cost too much, it sounds like you can do most of the work yourself so you are on the right track

Don't sell the Lada! But you are making right choice in selling the alfa! (in my opinion)

Lada wagon rally car.............. now that would be unique, and practical

Alfa is great cause it makes Natalya breasts bounce up and down every time it goes over a bump.

It use lot of petrol been a 2000cc turbo and the gearbox is very noisy.

It is a sports wagon, designed to be very fast. It easy beat Subaru WRX and Caldina GTT. It looks stock from outside. Back home we call it a "Stealth" modified car

I drive an old celsior now, no breast bounce in that car.

Very safe for my daughter and actually goes pretty quick from 4000rpm onwards

For the op, You don't have enough info for those cams, LSA and measurements at 0.050" are needed. Also get Kelfords to grind you one.
