We tried the baby seat in the back of most of the toyota wagons,
caldina's, BZT's, and the fielder,
and the fielder wagon is by far the biggest,
the only one where the baby seat fits behind the driver seat without having to adjust the driving position.

Buy it. Its faster then a legacy.
Alfa are very reliable IF maintained but this been New Zealand I would get a very good pre-purchase inspection. Mine is a 2002 model.
Alfa engine is based on FIAT engine designed in 1953. VERY reliable.

+1 to this or try and get her to come round on the Carib, I have driven a few with the 6 speeds and black tops and they go really well. SUPER good on gas too. I got 700kms from 50ltrs in one.
