Should road cars be equipped with racing pedals?

Hello comrades.
Has anyone done this before? I have been given a set of racing pedals for my Lada. Before I fit them I was wondering if its worth it, and if anyone uses them on a daily basis. These are the pedals:

No I don't think so really. I've had no issues with any factory pedals i've used in the last 13 years. Handy to be able to slip from one pedal to another without lifting your foot off. If they make it harder to use then it's not going to be ideal for people not used to the racing pedal setup.

Pretty sure the main idea of something like that is to fit dual master cylinders for the brake circuit, with a balance bar for tuning bias.

Otherwise, probably not much point.

I hate floor mounted pedals!

....is there really a need for you to start a new thread each time you want to know something relating to your build? Isn't that the point of having a build thread and discussion?

Kinda annoying to come online and find like 5 different topics all talking about the same person's car.

But that's just me and I'm usually away with the fairies so ignore me if I'm way off.

Oh and re: pedals - lot of effort for something you don't need...each to their own though.

Yes a project thread is a good idea. Bzrspeed, I think you should start one

However if trying to learn or research about something having individual threads is a good idea. Helps stop things being buried in threads with an unrelated title.
Also more people likely to see the topic if it's specific.

So, as far as this admin is concerned separate topics for each valid topic is fine and dandy

How ever 5 topics a day about Nato vs USSR may not be

To tell us about your car, start a project thread in the correct section.
To ask for advice and info on various things, you can start more threads in the correct section.

Sorry I didn't mean to come across as abrasive. Whichever way works best for you is fine Don't take me too seriously - I own an MR2.

Why does owning a mr2 make you any less serious or important? They are nice sports coupes. Mid engine too, like a mini Ferrari or a beter fiat x19.

So the over all opinion is NO to race pedals. Cool that makes life a bit easier.

And i do have my own build thread.

On a side note has anyone used glendene engine reconditions? My engine is there getting freshened as it was a little old. I have just heard some bad things and am a little worried.

I am already on Oldschool. They are very nice people and have purchased a fair amount of parts already through their for sale section.
