He would sell it for more had he actually got some decent pictures as it looks reasonably tidy.

$3500 would be fair, if it had 20 quality pictures he would possibly get closer to $4k for it.

Personally I wouldn't go a dollar more than $2700. While it is tidy, it has some tell tale signs of possibly being thrashed (intake hole in the bumper, big muffler, radar detector etc). Not saying that it has been, but the chances are a lot higher than if it was stock standard.

Not only that but it has the uglier front bumper and grille, and it doesn't have the sideskirts or wind/rain deflectors.

FX-GT's hold their value quite well, but I've seen much nicer examples listed for the $2500-3500 mark.

I'd go to about $2500. Above that, basically you can buy something else better once you get much higher than that (and this is coming from the owner of an AE92 GT).

Mods aren't adding any value, if anything id say they detract from the value.

So i paid $2700. Drove really well and the was in good condition. Tiny amount of surface rust and kit damage. Engine seems really good, has been taken apart and put back together with all new seals and rings.

To to bad, needed a car in a hurry and can't go wrong with a 4age especially a well looked after engine.

I'd buy this one myself if I had the money: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-ca ... 940599.htm

Km's are getting up there a bit, but if it's been regularly serviced like the auction says then it should be alright.

True, though that is a bigport, and the one OP posted is small port. Definitely worth $300 extra
