Toyota OBD-I serial readers....

Postby e30-323ti » Sun Aug 19, 2012 6:15 pm

Has anyone tried on of these on their pre-98 toyota's??

Like one of these

Thinking about it for my 1JZ-GTE, but bit dubious as they state it doesn't work on a 7M-GTE or 2JZ-GTE, being made either side of the 1JZ, I'd be surprised if it did.

Interested to here what other may think / be using.

I've added those two as not working as there were 2 actual cars with those engines which did not. And there were one actual 1JZ-GTE which did. You are welcome to try before you buy if you are in Auckland.

Hi there, thanks for the reply.

Might grab one and have a go in due course.

As my 1JZ is in a E30 BMW, there are a lot of things not connected, that may mean it won't work, but hey, won't know unless I try
