3sge beams clutch/flywheel options

I'd like to replace the clutch and flywheel in the ae85 prior to taking it out for a track day. The clutch feels near the end of its life and I want a nice light flywheel anyway.

Any recommendations on a good setup? I'd like a super light flywheel.

I've had a quick look around websites, and there always appears to be two flywheels listed for a 3sg altezze, obviously there is a difference so I am wondering how I find out which I need.

Aren't the all dual mass??

Obviously I'm looking to replace it with a light single mass.

From factory yes.

TRD is one option straight off the bat, picked my altezza up with TRD Flywheel, pressure plate & clutch plate already installed.

Seems to hold up well to daily driving (including in traffic) & the odd bit of abuse every now & then

I have JUN Ultra light flywheel (around 5.8kg compared to 12.5kg dual mass) on lotus 7 replica, with exedy pressure and clutch plate (nothing fancy for clutch as its a light car and standard engine)

Have decided to go with the TODA racing option. 3 puck metal.

Anything I should do while doing the clutch and flywheel?
Release bearing and new flywheel bolts I was thinking.

and spigot bearing. if it's got water return on the back of the head, check to see if it's leaking, can be easier to get to from the tunnel.

Yeh, its definitely heavy. Driving through desert road, and around Kaikoura, it was able to pull out of corners in 6th from as slow as 60 - 70km/h, without any hesitation. Obviously being a few hundred kgs lighter than an altezza helps as well.

Will be a different beast with the flywheel, I should take some before and after vids of the thing free revving to compare.

I've got a cusco one, which is about 6kgs or so.

Even the aftermarket ones are heavyish because they need to have the starter ring stepped way back from the front face of the plate, unlike the FWD ones.

I'm using a clutch not dissimilar to NZ_Climbers, as I am a strong believer in keeping the weakest link in your transmission as the one that's cheapest and easiest to replace.

They are complete and utter shit, makes the whole car feel twice as heavy.

I'd rather keep the weakest link at the tyres; they're even cheaper to replace.
