1997 Mr2 Glimited???

I'm not an expert but im not a novice either - based on the indicators, firewall chassis code (60,000), trick fog lamps, rear tail lights and engine bay I would say that's a pre'94 mr2... only thing that has me wondering is the side skirts, exhaust and end caps.

so has this car incorrectly been registered as a 97 or is it some crazy domestic variant do you think?

Either way it looks to be in great nick.

According to this it's a December 1991 model.

It's date of first registration anywhere in the world, not date of build that import cars go from. Random factoid for you.

So potentially it *might* have been in Japan and never registered for road use until 1997.

However odds are that somebody just read paper wrong and/or wrote it down wrong.

Well it's a 91 so it could have easily be confused as 97 if the handwriting was poor.

I'm just wondering why is Chalkie looking at MR2's.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.
