yeah seriously dude that's a pretty stupid thing to say these days.
People doing that sort of shit on a motorway is just plain dangerous.

Keep it on the strip as the above post says

400+kw 1600cc cars are easy to race on the motorway, by the time they actually get their shit together you're already at the next turn off

No one buys a fast car to go slow. Everyone knows that. Its just you're not allowed to say so on the internet

Its got a 7afe block in it.

The guy rang me yesterday to say he stripped 3rd gear. No surprise as he was running the smaller E series. He pretty much didnt have any idea about the car as he brought it off someone else who got it built by x person.

20v 7agte. Those numbers are not un expected! If I can make 360kw atw on 98 pump gas with a stock head then 400kw is easy on E85.

With a worked head 450kw+ would be doable, I was building an engine to do this and still plan to later in the future :)

Me too.

Why anyone would come onto a Car Club page and encourage racing illegally on public roads is beyond me. Bit retarded. Flatpeaker perhaps.

He's a good guy, lets all give him the benefit of the doubt and let him respond before we rip into him too much eh? :D I think the point has been made that we are not a fan of street racing!

I'm not sure there are any laws that he'd break if you line him up on the motorway, never seen anything in NZ traffic law about lagging for 4 seconds and then stripping the teeth off 3rd gear - that'd definitely convince me it had a number of kw (and no way to use them ;) )

impressive numbers but until 5,000 rpm its still making less power than a stock sti/evo etc. Still, above that it looks fun !
