AE92 Trueno 4agze ecu/O2 sensor

Postby draz » Tue Sep 04, 2012 7:34 pm

Hi all,

I purchased an early '90's Trueno loom and ECU from a guy in NZ a few years ago and have finally got around to fitting it to a different car. The problem I have is that I dont have an oxygen sensor to suit. The laws over here (Aust) insist I have the matching sensor for this ECU. Ive tried numerous places here and have come up with a complete blank. The only info I can give is that the ECU number is 89661-12611 andthe O2 sensor is a 4 pin type. The engine is a MAP sensor unit (not from the same car)
Can anyone point me to someone who I can talk to regarding the purchase of the correct part.....dont care if its new or used.
Anything will be greatly appreciated
cheers
David

Most of 4 wire ox sensors will work. Does it screw in or is it flange type?

It doesnt matter as I havent touched the exhaust as yet. Ive been told it has to be the specific sensor for this ecu....thats what Im trying to find out....all loose ends so far.
All I have is the 4 pin female plug on the loom to go by......
I need a part number, or someone who has one of these thet he/she doesnt need.
I know its a long shot but im hoping......

According to this:
http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_1993_TOYOTA_LVN_AE101-ACMXR_8401.html

You need the following part number:
89465‑19505

In reality you can just swap plugs for something that is available. All of this type of OX. sensors are electronically the same. Eg. you can use sensor out of late 5SFE Camry (it is flange type, and 4 wire), the plug is almost the same (you will probably need to take the craft knife to the locating tabs on the sensor plug to fit in your one).
