Depends of what you plan to do, the GT would be the one to buy if you plan on keeping it stock, it gains half leather with heaters, nicer dash layout and trim, LED DTRL, bigger wheels and slightly bigger brakes.
If you like modifying things and don't care to much for superficial features and comforts the 86 is for you, save 5k and spend it on wheels and brakes and a set of stiffer springs.
Neither IMHO are very well packaged car for the money, and you will get more features in a $30k Ford Focus, it would not make an ideal daily or a practical car if you have lots of friends or customers to drive around and bulk items to load in the back like I do, they are quite a personal sports car type deal, would sooner have one as a weekend car and a Corolla/Golf etc as a daily.
