Fuel gauge goes down under acceleration.

Any reason why this would happen? The gauge can go down by up to 1/4 of a tank.

Tank's not baffled or your car's really thirsty under acceleration.

yea, this happens to me also, no biggy. not 1/4 of a tank, but enough to notice some shift of the gauge.

must be a subaru...B4's do this and like the 95 legacys but i dont think its as bad as a 1/4 of a tank

Nah its an 4AGZE AE92 sedan, I've never owned a NGV. Yeah it comes back up when I return to cruise. I've driven plenty of cars that do it but not 1/4 of a tank.
