Postby possumr » Thu Sep 20, 2012 5:00 pm

What you looking at is pre pre-production Toyota 86.

Guy from Toyota Racing Series came to show it off to our work today.

FA20 Engine with 6 Speed gearbox.

No I did not drive it, but had a seat in it and played with gear shifter lol

Berry Also told that this car will be crushed after they done with it 8O

Interesting, never seen one of these before... it doesn't look like the RC86 either.

- spoiler from the BRZ/UK released GT86
- unpainted wing mirrors & door handles
- no 86mm dual exhaust pipes
- no manifold cover
- plain black interior, gear knob, steering wheel
- no radio

I'd cry if they crushed it, I'm sure he was joking!

I stand corrected, apparently it is an RC86 according to: http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=gnb301

Why was this in NZ??

Excuse my ignorance, but how does this differ from the ones already in the country? Is it just another trim level??

I'm mearly guessing here but maybe they might build this into a race car? TRS + RC86 = 8)

rc has black bumpers, less trim, open diff etc. Idea is you buy one to modify.
