Pretty sure 1500kg is either bang on the limit or above the limit for a Subaru Legacy. From memory they were rated for about 1300-1400 braked. I know the VE Holden utes are only 1600kg :lol:

hey pretty sure this hasnt been said yet but have you looked into one of the 4wd altezza wagons?

i understand this may not be the ideal car but an example of what you can get....
Toyota 2jz reliability and towability with common altezza parts and overall good value for money??

From memory the Altezza can't tow shit legally, think the 4WD was rated even lower?

Towright only do them up to 1500kgs.

Really? Are they not a seperate chassis anymore? Aurion is rated to 1600kg braked.

Commodores were never separate chassis in the utes from memory? Maybe half chassis at most?

cheers for the advice. he is going to go and test drive a suzuki diesel this weekend and also a 08 rav 4.
