toyota desiel to replace peugoet x3dt

Postby bzrspeed » Sun Sep 23, 2012 11:20 am

I need a repacement engine for a peugoet x3d-t 2.5l turbo desiel. It can be petrol or desiel but desiel would be prefered.

Needs to make more the 110hp and have a maximum rpm of 5500rpm and fit in the same size space as the x3d-t.

The vehicle weights approx 5.9 ton unloaded, 6.5 ton loaded.

I was wondering where you got to. Welcome back.
Does this vehicle actually exist or is it the same as "your" Lada?

Thank you.
Not my car but working on an old peugoet fire truck from 1966 for a customer. Engine is blown and the cost of a recon one is many thousands of dollars.

3l maybe a bit big, was looking around the 2 to 2.5 4cyl mark.

For that mass I would be looking at 1HDT or similar:

There is 2.2 3CT, but that is POS engine...

You will be looking for any small/medium Japanese 4wd engine. Eg, 2L, 3L, 5L, 4JB1T, TD27 etc etc
You'll be looking at least 2k for just an engine.

Everyone should just believe you now then? Doesn't quite work like that, trust has to be earned.

I 100% agree. Hence why I have not posted much, kept a low profile and will offer advice when and where I can.

I was thinking about the 1KZTE.

He has taken the fire turck back to his place untill he can find either an engine or more money.
0-60 time with a full load of water and equiptment was 126 seconds!!

Things have changed since first post.

Mr Revhead is right, the cost of desiel engines are a lot more then he expected.
