Unnecessary complexity and high cost. Just buy yourself a variable geometry turbo if you are so concerned with lag. New turbos are very efficient and being a 2JZ-GTE, you can have plenty of response provided you pick the right turbo and A/R Exhaust Housing Ratio.

Probably better spending money on either doing a manual conversion or changing the Final Drive ratio.

Seems you could do alot more first. But its not that complex more costly and time consuming getting it right in reality, depends on how you want to do it...

As mentioned in other threads ^^ VGT turbos arn't really a usable option on petrol turbos, I'm interested to hear from anyone who has tried one though...
