Isnt Australia just a big riot with kangaroos?

Didnt they ban the foreign ones when they made them 5L v8's??

They didn't ban anything. Group A specifications (which the boonlines were running under) were pretty much phased out/being phased out from most of the major touring car championships around the world by the time the Aussies decided to follow suit and start their own series for V8 powered Fords and Holdens.

The series that the GTRs were racing in and the series that will be watched on Sunday are not the same thing.

PS: This is awesome

I'd love for the top three cars to be those who don't frequent the podium very often. Seeing Murph, Skaife, Lowndes etc on the podium most years gets a bit tedious. :?

Well doubtful you will see murphy on there this year, and you certainly won't see Skaife! However it's kinda unlikely you won't see Lowndes!

Of course being Bathurst the only thing certain is my Skaife comment!
then again maybe they will rope him in to present a trophy?

Davidson was lucky to walk away from his crash. Was uber scary.

Perhaps room for a late change to the COTF specs to include dual redundancy brake lines, if they're not already included. Just to counter anything similar happening again.

Even though I'm a Holden suppoorter, found myself cheering on David Renyolds towards the end. Not a big Whincup fan.

I was asking myself how long before there is a huge multi car one there... Not many places i the world where you can recross the track at speed after losing it. Was pretty scary.

I think it was sway bar failure that killed the brakes and the watts let go when he hit the wall. He said he heard it exiting Forrest Elbow, you would know long before the Chase if you had a bust watts
