*NEW* Mega mini-meet 2012

Postby NILPSI » Wed Oct 03, 2012 6:37 pm

Right,

With the flop of Megameet this year a couple of the palmy guys have decided to throw a mini-meet labour weekend. It will only be the Saturday and Sunday but will include all the activities we are used to, below is the basic schedule for the weekend.

FRIDAY
Arrive and dinner, drinks etc

SATURDAY
10.30 - Go-Karting - $35 per person for 25 mins (discounted from $39.50)
2.00 - Laser Tag, I'm sure people will want to play paintball but this is less painful which means more might participate
5.00 - Scavenger Hunt!! - This is always an absolute blast, everybody has fun, everytime!

To be ended with BBQ dinner and drinks/shit talking

SUNDAY
10.00 - Mini-golf challenge - $9.50 per person (we may modify the start time of this depending on how Saturday night goes  )
1.00 - Cruise, will be roughly 150kms of nice twisty Manawatu driving, normally my car breaks something...

Then we will have the weekends prize giving and if you wish you can head home, otherwise another quiet night of burnt meat

MONDAY

Home time!

Obviously this is very close now and all the guys are pulling finger to arrange stuff, so please express your interest and we should have all the prices for activities and accommodation by the end of the week.

Cheers

Yeah I'll come down for activities at some point[s]. May even be in a Toyota if the WOF gods look favourably upon it.
Otherwise token MHI gatecrashing.

I still think the larger 200km cruise route would've been better :P

Updated with pricing for Mini-golf.

If you are interested in coming along could you please put up which events you will be interested in taking part in, this makes it easier to book numbers. Yea anybody can come along on the cruise, the more the merrier!

Also due to the last minute nature of things and the fact there is a kung foo type competition the same weekend, the place we looked at for accommodation is now completely booked, so would people prefer to make their own arrangments? We are still looking for something suitable but its looking less promising every day. I will try and keep you as up to date as I can regarding the situation.

I'm in for go karting on the Saturday, possibly the scavenger hunt too. I'll come for the cruise on Sunday. Dunno what Karyn is doing but she'll no doubt chime in with her 2c soon.

Ok as accommodation might be a bit challenging to get for the out of towners here is a cheaper option . Please note that it could be noisy as the pub is open until 3am below it.
