Good place for tyres?

Any recommendations for good tyre shops in Christchurch? I'm after 4 new tyres for the daily driver, have dealt with some real monkeys in the past so would like to find somewhere with good service! Just 175/70 13s.

Grabbing a set of good 2nd hand tyres and an alignment from them on the weekend for myself in fact. Haven't been disappointed with the service yet. Always helpful. Like when I roll up from a failed WOF with a screw in my tyre

Thanks chaps, after ringing everywhere I ended up going with Tonys Tyre Service, price was an absolute bargain (thanks to the cash price match then $10 off guarantee!) and service was brilliant.. would definitely recommend, their pricing was only two thirds what most others were asking for the same tyre plus they stayed late to get my car done!

TTS is hands down, the best tyre shop for typical daily driver rubber, unless you have friends in the industry.

Just dont ever rely on them for things like wheel alignments, or being careful with your mad tyte jdm forged rims etc

That I do agree with, my little bro and his wife took their car to the same TTS, when they got it back it still had a moderate pull to the left.. surely a good wheel alignment would have fixed that? Hmm, might take it to the local garage for a wheel alignment then if they're regularly not doing them well enough.

Yeah they will probably always win on price. I've used them quite a bit in the past without problem. Current alignment from Blenheim Road store is fine from what I can tell.

I like being able to just roll up to the place I mentioned and get a tyre fitted straight away. It's not that they aren't busy, but you can build loyalty with the smaller places so I plan to keep going back. I had a screw in my tyre without knowing and it came up on WOF. TTS wouldn't even look at it due to being busy, fair enough. But if I left the wheel there (currently on car obviously) they would take a look. Rolled up to other place and they just rolled a jack out, took out the screw and said it's not leaking, cya later
