Ok, out of curiosity what will a 4agze do when map sensor is unplugged?
Anything? Will it idle, will it die when trying to rev?

Reason i ask is i Looked at a car recently
Thing would idle perfect, but wouldnt run above idle, would cough and die,
Uplugging the map sensor made no difference at all.. Neither to problem or idle
The loom looked like it has been played with a bit, and i didnt have the time to verify the maps pin outs and power supply were correct.

It should run/idle but cough/splutter/die when it comes on boost which I suppose is straight away on a GZE?

My Mrs Starlet had an unplugged MAP sensor and would run fine below boost but as soon as you tried to build boost it would shudder/cough/die etc. Took forever to work out what it was.

Sounds about right, but sounds similar to a stuffed TPS too...

Failling Fuel pump can also cause this sort of thing

Sorry guys not after a diagnosis,

i want to know what happens when a map is unplugged on a gze,
I cannot recall ever unplugging one in the past to see what happens

engine check light comes on. no boost. runs like crap
