Cutting paper gaskets?

So I need some gaskets for the inlet manifold. Nissan don't make these ones anymore. :?

I used my special powers to make these. I used a 10mm spanner to rub the paper on the machined edge to cut it. Took ages.
This method probably won't work for 1-1.5mm thick gasket paper...
Cutting it by hand with a razor blade will look rough as, my hands are not that steady.

Does anyone know if there is somewhere I can go to get them automagically cut? With like laser or water jet or something.
Any idea how much it might cost? Somewhere that does it in Hutt/Wellington area...?

just had a look and apparently you can order them from NZGaskets through your local parts store.

If you look again, you will see they are different. The engine is from 85-86, only nissan lists gaskets for the engine from those years, everyone else lists them for 86-91. The gaskets are not interchangeable.
The only parts difference is the inlet manifold gaskets, everything else is the same.

Yeah, you don't belt the shit out of it. Just light taps, works really well

another way to make the port holes, is to find a similar diameter tube and either internally or extrnally sharpen it to make a wad punch.

or buy a cheap socket set from <insert shitty socket set outlet> sharpen them up and you've got yourself a whole set :)

Or just buy supercrap proper hole punches. I bought some years ago, they cheap and Ive even used them shim stock. Still sharp and work mint.

Get some race tape first, put the tape over the surface you need a gasket for, then use the ball pein hammer to cut the bolt holes, (you can cut the rest out if you wish to help finding the lines that you need to follow later), peel the tape off and lay it on the gasket paper, use a hole punch to cut the blot holes. Lay the gasket on the manifold etc, now you can put a couple of bolts through to hold the gasket (nothing worse than having the gasket move half way through and not knowing). Now you can use the ball pein hammer again and tap the edge of the gasket out. Only tap lightly, just enough to cut the gasket.

I'll probably go get a couple hole punches to tidy up the bolt holes. The punches I already have are too small.
I cut the gaskets by hand, with a stanley knife.

Just light taps to either mark it or cut half way through to be cleaned up with the scissors or to cut it all the way through. Your choice. Sharpened pipe/tubing on some hard wood/plastic/linoleum for large holes. Small hand paper punch to use as a nibbler for inside radius'.
It's just a gasket & doesn't have to be exact, just not cover or restrict important holes, and not missing in any major amount at place/s that will deform when tightened if the gasket isn't there for support.
