Front mount intercooler w2a radiator mounting in AW11

Postby Vertigo » Wed Nov 28, 2012 12:49 pm

I dont have a pic of my car, but found a pic of Revheads ;) So use this for reference:

My problem is that the spot id like to have the radiator at is blocked by that metal piece holding the horn. I havent had a good look, but is really needed? Can I just remove it?

How does everyone else mount the w2a radiator?

Not on an AW but I've had problems getting the latch to work because of flex without that support.

Only one I've got I'm afraid, that's with 3/4 line. It wasn't hard!

I have cut that bracket off mine, think it was just the bottom half. Didn't seem to do much and looks better without. And as my AW is actually Revhead's old one, then the pic above is as it was pre cut  Man the frunk there looks tidy.
Haven't had issues with flex, or problem closing the bonnet or keeping it closed.
