Sealed Hillclimb Champs - Dunedin - no cage needed

Postby Baxter » Thu Dec 06, 2012 1:30 am

Run over summer, this Championship is focused on beginners and semi-regular competitors. This year's Companionship has been extended from 3 to 4 events.

- You do not need to be member of Otago Sports Car Club to qualify for Championship points (but you do need to be a member of a MSNZ affilated club like OSCC to compete in hillclimbs).

- You can enter in a WOFed road car with some simple safety gear.

First event Dec 16

If you follow the link it explains what you do need and how easy it is to get into motorsport. Iirc day licences might be available, though it's cheaper to just get a comp licence if you're planning on doing all 4 events.

4WDs more than welcome to the event (they just won't be eligible for the 2WD championship points).

I don't trust my car control skills enough to be able to control a slide and not hit something in my car. :(

Want to get more grasskhanas etc under my belt first so that i learn the limits of me and the car?

And might see if theres someone at the Taieri Kart track who could let me use their kart to do a few laps as the indoor one in Dunedin is too small and slow, and the awesome Invercargill one we went to on a Skyline meet yesterday is too far away. :P
