Getting car wrapped in vinyl

Hi, I want to get my new car (charcoal colour) wrapped in white vinyl (ie colour change), I pm-ed and emailed carfoile (TS sponsor), it looks like they do not want my business, as I haven't heard back...

Can anyone recommend a place on the Shore (or in Auckland) to get this done?

try Cube on Ellice rd they have done a few cars for us now.....or Rocket on archers rd they have a pretty cool stretch beetle wrapped in chrome.

But yea not cheap at all.

It is expensive, but worth it for a brand new car. Means you can just remove it and go back to the factory colour.

If a few grand is ~$2000, then it is within my budget, if it is >$3000, then I will have to rethink about this idea.

I was washing my car other day and the steam from under the sponge was very unsettling (and the fact that it would dry out in 10sec). Unfortunately the colour choice was a secondary to the kms, price and condition....

Were you washing it in the sun? If so, try not doing that as you will get a far better end result, especially with dark colours.

Wash it early morning or dusk / when the paint surface is cool to the touch, as that gives the best results when washing, waxing and polishing etc.

Seems an alot easier than spending a couple of grand wrapping it when it will be not much better off as it will still get hot, granted not as hot.

Unless you just dont like the colour then I would work 3k+ for a nice job(removal/refitting of badges etc)

The rally car gets wrapped every year before NZRC starts it approx 2-2.5k for a full wrap when discounted. I cant recall the name of the crowd that does it, will have a look when im home and pass their details on if you wish to approach them for a quote.

Most window tinting shops can't help you
Here's some samples of my work in December, forget the chrome guys - it's $150 p/m just for material and it's not easy to work with due to the metal on the vinyl
