Pretty good day, loved the drive around Coromandel.

Also managed to score a photo in an airplane

Hey, no one said hi! I didn't know who was who! I was stuck with the camera crew in the car for 3(ish) bloody hours lol - there goes the chance to finish most of the missions! Though can't complain, I was sandwiched between the Lambo Nera and Supperleggera for the drive around the entire Coromandel Peninsula, so that was pretty neat

Ha, I did see your car at the beginning of the day.

We had a good time, was a nice drive, I think we got 90% of the challenges done, missed a letterbox and milking number and could not find a fire engine.

Ended up the first car in Whitianga and got back to the finish a good 45min earlier than anyone else, I could not figure what the schedule was for the day, ended up falling asleep on the couch at home at 7.30 and slept for 12 hours so must have been knackered!

Oh true :p Now actually looking at your username for the first time, I remember your car

I wanted to be up with the rest of the pack too, but they kept on swapping the camera guys between our little group of cars and making us pull over every 10 minutes... eventually on one stop mid-way through the ranges, when they jumped out, we took off! haha. Left them with the guys in the M5!

I was pretty much the same... by the end of the dinner, I was knackered too. Comatosed-out when I got home and woke up at like 10am. Though Jeremy Elwood was good!

Spotted a couple of people taking pics of my RX8 as I was leaving Ardmore. Saw both your cars parked up.

I missed the record attempt, was it successful?

Nah, there were only around 40 people, but they would've had the record (64-67~) if the people who signed up to do it actually showed up on the strip.

I went right up close to take a photo of one of the car's smoking tyres and as I leaned down with my phone a rock smashed it out of my hand (from one of the car's on the skid pad) - so I instantly retreated lol

Hey, anyone get any pics of my levin skidding? Runway was pretty harsh on the tyres, my new set of Yokies were done in less than 2 minutes, was hoping for a bit more fun than that...

Hi tuff, sweet 86. There'll be quite a few around, just waiting on everyone to finish editing them I assume! Captain Pokemon cap (Ch4ng) had my camera most of the day anyway, so I'll have to go through the 700-odd shots he took at some point soon :lol:

The turbo'd GT86 that STM brought along was pretty cool too!

Nah was in my red rx8.
STM's 86 isn't turbocharged unless you're talking about a different one.

Ah right. That Race N Road guy on Facebook has quite a few photos up already if you want to look through there, but there are others on the Cannonball and AMS event page that are already putting shots up.

Oh ok, I was being told it was turbo'd already? So they still haven't gotten around to it? I know HKS have/or are just about to release the new supercharger kit for it. Slack, STM!

Cheers, yep alot of everything work has gone into it, good to be able to finally get out and use it, just need to scrape some funds together for some ssr longchamps now, would be the finishing touch i reckon...

Correct re. STM 86, it only cosmetic mods at the moment (including a gangster Motec + carbon fibre dash installation)
