Boy racer scene in Chch

Is it just me or is it starting up again?
I live in town so hear them going around the odd night, seems to be a bit random though.

And no, I'm not wanting to join in, more curious as to whats happening with it.

I think there was a cruise the other night or something.. watched the same cars doing the avenues whilst at Strawberry Fare the other night.

They also had a booze stop on Deans ave by the old stockyards, complete with WOF testers and court bailiffs.. clearly the cops are still hammering it pretty hard.

That stop seems to be there every few weekends or so, good place for it I guess as it gets those doing laps but doesn't hold up most people as they use the main roads around.

I'm surprised they're still up to it considering the roads they're driving along

I heard they forget to renew the bylaws against cruising. Apparently it's not something that can't just be easily put back into place. Could just be Chinese whispers...

Saw a huge convoy of cars boosting up Russley Road towards Belfast last Saturday night, they swung around the Wairakei roundabout and headed back towards Hornby.

Yeah, I know its not too much of a major. Just makes things more difficult, cars trying to race you etc, at worst, bottles being thrown around etc etc

Often, not a problem. Sometimes, just would rather not be around
