What do you mean by legit?
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time

Run it through Toyo DIY to see if spec matches what is there.

He wants to make sure its not a dodgy conversion.

I have told him to put it into toyodiy and see what it comes up with

What do you want to know? The model number on the chassis plate will give you the spec of the vehicle, chassis number will provide production date.

Example

AE86-ECMQF is 3Dr GTV Levin
AE86-ECMVF is 3Dr GT Apex Levin

2 Door Models Replace the above C with an S
Trueno models replace the first E with an F

If by chance you are referring to Bens GT Notchback Levin, then I can assure you it's 100% spot on, having spent the last 4 years building it.

Cheers for that, I will pass it on.

I know nothing about the car he is looking at, He is being very secretive and vague about the whole thing...

Yeah it's not ideal, but new owner has had a change of circumstances. Don't worry Andy, I replaced it with another Hatch
