3S engine bolt thread

Postby Grrrrrrr! » Fri Apr 05, 2013 9:41 am

Just sitting at work and need to source some longer bolts to attach the engine to the engine stand after I put some spacers in so i have clearance for rear crank seal cover and maybe flywheel too.

Does anybody know off the top of their head what thread the 4 bolts that bolt the engine and gearbox together are? They are either M10 or M12, and they will be a fine thread, but just not sure if 1.5 or 1.25?

Found the right page on toyodiy, looks like a mix of m12 and m10 x 1.25.

90105-08040 PLANT NO.A32-1.25PX18-15
90105-10077 *10-1.25PX43-26
90119-12168 *12-1.25PX55-30
91651-41022 *10-1.25PX22-22

Im guessing the number after the PX is the length of the bolt, and the last number is the threaded length?

pretty sure they are M12, and yeah 1.25/metric fine thread, can be a prick to find hardware stores so get from a fastener shop.

I ended up just using some random bolts from control arms I think, from past stripped cars - flywheel is off though - won't fit with it on. You might need to space the motor out from the mounts on the engine stand some more or else flywheel may interfere
