Started work on gauge cluster mk2. Going to have three 60mm gauges instead of two in a smaller area. Pics to follow once its done.

New boost gauge turned up. Update from Bazda is wastegate is in his hands, Turbo is still in transit and Sinco are 80% complete just waiting on turbo and wastegate to finish.

bought valves for the 2zz. only some bearings to go now once we figure out which ones to use.. toyota manaul is super confusing using a mixture of mkI and mkII bearings..

found a brand new spare exedy heavy duty clutch as well since so now I can break one with massive skids/ruthlessness when I get the engine in and going and now be worried!
bought some new headlights with actual brackets of crispy a while ago. they fit waay better than cable tied on headlights ever did! just emphasises that the front end of my car is no where near straight after the big crash into the wall.. still got a bit of beating to do with a large hammer to get them to fit right..

also bought some tyres for my rims.. 16x8 +25 with 205/45 tyres. fit on the car awesome with some of the camber out of it!

finished installing sounds.

mids are in back.

frankly it sounds terrible.

loud, yes, but terrible.

tweeters are overly harsh.

mids arent that great, however this may be due to that limited mounting options have left them mounted in the back to the side on a piece of trim by rear passangers elbows.

sitting in the rear seats it sounds amazing, the bass from the subs seems to gain in the rear and the tweeters arent as harsh from back there.

I think ill have to suck it up and buy some new door cards so I can butcher them up and mount the speakers in the doors. damned old cars not having any proper speaker mounts...

Not my car ... but drove a work pool car to Palmerston Nth and back. Little diesel auto Hyundai thing.

Drives ok and has a moderate amount of poke if you plant boot.

Power steering is *utterly* horrid though, I swear the steering wheel was connected to the wheels by a playstation controller.

Can't argue with the economy though, did about 300km and it was using 5.2l per 100km on the journey according to the trip computer. That's rather impressive I thought.

Altezza got a bit of a freshen up thanks to new plugs via Mark. Cleaned AFM & threw in a new filter too. Rear pads to be done over the weekend hopefully

KE25 - removed cracked sound deadening in drivers foot well, scuffed up, rust convertor & primer applied. Soldered wires back on to wiper motor. Most action its seen in about 5 years

Not my car but drove a 56 year old Morris Minor, really enjoyed it, many lol's were had.

No brakes at all, even though there is nothing actually wrong with them.

Throw gear lever to each corner of the car in the hope of finding a gear.

Use a torch to try figure out which knobs are needed to start it.

My grandfather has a '51 split screen Morrie I think, four door. I drove it from Waipara to Blenheim. Couldn't walk once I got out, I had to drive it with the sides of my feet so my knees could fit around the steering wheel

The first Morrie I drove was directly after an FQ320. Chalk and cheese was about the best description.
