Where to get roof lining replaced (in Auckland)

Hi guys,

I am trying to get myself a camry wagon and a few of the NZ new ones have roof linings that are hanging down. Anyone know a good place in Auckland to get that fixed? and or a rough idea of the price?

I'd personally just buy a secondhand one from Pick-A-Part. I've noticed that the NZ New and Australian ones usually always have the saggy roof-lining issue but the Japanese ones (including the Scepter) don't seem to have that problem. A replacement is only $12 from Pick-A-Part.

On an old camry wagon I had, I made my own roof liner out of vinyl.
That car had metal struts for roof liner, hence I could re-sew a new one in....

Wouldnt a can of 3M spray adhesive be enough to reattach it?

sometimes, though if its got that foamy pad section which is whats actually coming apart, you are trying to glue grains of foamy stuff to other grains of foamy stuff - and it just comes down again pretty fast.

worth a try though

Cheers guys, if I end up with one with a hanging lining I will give pickapart / gypsy spray a go.

My brother said he'd do one as a homer.. but he also said $350..

You need to scrape the crumbly old foam off and replace the fabric with new foam backed stuff and a sprayed on contact adhesive.
