I've done nothing at all on my own car for ages - partly out of time, money, motivation, and just not knowing exactly what I would like to do with it or replace it with.

Like anyone with an interest in cars, the idea that they have a little bit of a clue, and a computer - I've instead been embracing the keyboard warrior within and getting my sticky beak involved with other peoples builds :D Instead of that involving yarning in forum threads (I've basically sworn off that now) I've been pushing buttons to either make words or 0's and 1's depending on what the case may be in order to help people get the results they want from their vehicles where my hairbrained ideas have actually been requested or welcomed... not sure if that counts or not.

One way or another I do however feel pleased and amused that as a direct result of me sitting on a computer mashing buttons in my sparetime there are quite a number of cars (and a boat) which are performing substantially better than they were at the start of the year, to the point now that if I ever get called an internet mechanic or keyboard warrior again I'm at least now going to feel either complimented, or at least vindicated instead of insulted :)

Not to sure why its uploaded like that lol. Little bit of a clash issue around the steering rack with the plumb back, hits the lines that come out of the pinion area and down to the piston area, will explain clash and ask for remidie sugestions in a tech thread tonigh

What I did today/recently to my junk
RX8: Nothing. Hardly driven it in a fortnight because of work. Had a yarn to Andre when I was in Lower Hutt last and he mentioned some software for reflashing brz's and rx8's so I've bought that and will see what it can do. Pretty much the only reason I haven't done anything to it is because retuning is a mindfuck but if this works out that will change.

R33: Pulled the head off on Sunday. The engine actually looks really good. Hone marks still present etc. Only had half a day off last week though so didnt get far with it. It may be as simple as new bearing shells given i caught it before there was any noise. But I also like the idea of going to the 3 litre but I'm almost certain the stock GTR turbos will choke it. Tbc. Also now own the big dick RB gearbox.

Corolla: Gonna get into this after the Skyline is back together. I've procrastinated long enough about wiring it up and there's only a day's work in it so no excuse really.

Hey! The Aristo is a practical family solution to a Supra 8) .
As for STM, last time I talked to Chris he wanted me to spend $4.5k on a full ecu when all I want to do is highten my boost cut with a afc.

Ah ok. I was saying this is fun productive stuff I've done with cars etc recently - its my hobby, I have no interest in offering my efforts to the public for those who don't want to spend the money at a reputable workshop... sounds too much like work!

Well finaly started a build thread. Tonight on the car Ive tidyed up some loom and changed the W/G spring. Also found the bolts I got are the wrong thread.

Do you no what grade of stainless thats Sinco manifold is made of Scott??

I know guys who fabricate them with 321 stainless apparently thats high up on the grade scale when Stainless is mentioned.Not cheap pretty expensive actually.
