$&#$%. I think it is an H7. The high beam is a separate bulb. FML.

On that note, at least the bulb is coming from manukau and not usa.

Anybody got any tips about changing the bulbs in a caldina - just had a look in the dark and they look like pricks of things to get to :?

How did you translate "90080-81067" into H7? Curious as I checked toyodiy and didn't know that you could figure that out.

Also, forgive my electrical lack of knowledge, but how can the same 55W bulb be used for both high and low beams? Does it get overpowered for the high beam?

*edit just reading that on bmw's the aim and shape of the reflector is the only difference - they use h7 for both too, and both run 55W ... sounds legit?

Reflector shape basically.

And the way to tell H7 would be because the picture is 2 pin, and it says 55W rather than 55/60W etc (Assuming, haven't actually looked).
H1 is single pin, H3 has a lead off it, H4 is 3 pin and H7 is 2 pin. The others generally don't get much use in jap cars. Oh, and H3Cs.

And now looking at the pic, I take that back. Pics are terrible. Searching that part number came up with an Avensis which showed the bulb a bit better.

And as above, it should have it on the housing somewhere.

And as there is a bulb for low beam and a bulb for high beam. High beam will be both bulbs, low will just be one bulb.

Brightness doesn't really relate to hi and low, its all to do with the angle and beam pattern of the projector.
