5E-FHE idle speed control ?

Hi everyone, quick question. What controls the idle speed on the 5E-FHE ? When mine is cold, it idles around 1100 RPM which feels about right. When it's warm, the idle seems to stay the same or sometimes increases to around 1300 RPM. I've checked for air / vac leaks and everything seems OK. The screw on the plenum chamber is wound fully down too so I can't take it any lower. Is there any other mechanism which controls idle - I remember having a Swift GTi years ago that had an idle control valve which hwas heated by water from the inlet manifold and the valve got blocked up so the car always idled like it was cold. Is there something similar on the 5E-FHE ?

if your idle varies on hot check coolant level, the coolant flows through throttle body and affect the opening of the ISCV (which is under the throttle). Additionally the ISCV get gunked up. You could spray carb cleaner in there; remove the inlet pipe, you will see the hole next throttle body - spray there.

I'll take a pic when I get home but there should be a smaller plug below the TPS which goes to the idle control valve. It's a fairly common thing for them to get gummed up

stolen pic, but gives an idea.

The hole in front of throttle body is the inlet of the ISCV (on the pic above it looks like someone drilled it out larger). The ISCV will have 3 wire grey plug (below throttle).
Basically spray the carb cleaner into the hole (let is soak). Once started give it about 3k rpm for vacuum to suck the gunk out.

Cool, thanks, will give it a go. Pity I didn't realise that the inlet was there, otherwise I'd have cleaned it out whilst I had the intake piping off !
