Borg Warner turbos - anyone distributing in NZ?

Postby gmacrae » Thu Jul 11, 2013 11:58 am

Hey I'm after one of the Borg-Warner s200sx turbos (quality t3 twinscroll for roughly $1000), but can't find anyone that distributes them in NZ - does anyone know of a place to get them other than ebay au/us?

Cheers

Turbochargers NZ do, odds are you aren't going to get one for that kind of price though - especially with NZD going down again. A mate got his T4 Twin Scroll S300SX 8375 from The Boost Lab and that ended up landed for a very reasonable price, was around $1000 iirc.

Turbo Care down South also built one of the NZHondas guys a S200SX hybrid, not sure what it cost him but I expect it was well over $1k

Thats the turbo I have on my corolla.. Cost me 1000 USD not NZD plus paid a little tax on the way in. No idea about an NZ dealer. Talk to Steve Murch about his Holset options tho..

Ahh righto cheers, you're running it twinscroll? What size compressor and ex housing did you go for? What's the spool like?

Also any Borg warner rep will cover warranty so don't be scared about having to send it back to the states because you won't have to

Yep they have been out for some time, I know a few people who have tried them to great effect - though there was a reasonable amount of teething issues for the first year or so they were out

you mean 51mm compressor right? so that's the S200SX-51 - .83 exhaust housing? Will be real keen to know how this spools. Yours is 1600cc I take it?
