Does anyone have a link as to how to correctly remove SS suspension from a 92 Levin.
In looking at it I would assume you remove the whole strut with all the links by releasing the bolt at the end of the chassis rail.
Is the anything special required to seperate the base of the strut from the top of the hub assembly?
Can anyone suggest the best manual to buy that covers Levin ApexGT silvertop with superstrut, as I'm working blind at the moment as most of my spannering has been on VW Golfs

what are you trying to replace? shock, ss arms? or everything?
don't think a manual exists like a haynes that covers ss.
pry bar and a large hammer should sort most things.

Just split the ball joints on the strut then undo the top hat 3 nuts. Should just slip out. Only "hard" part is spliting the ball joints, which are more numerous than your Golf

You can just remove the strut then.
Loosen the nut on both of the joints. (one in the ball joint of the shock and the other at the camber link that connects to the bottom for the steering arm)
As detailed below. Apply pressure with bar to "push" joints apart then just smash it with the biggest hammer you have. it will come apart eventually.
Just to clarify you need to be hitting the bottom of the steering arm and for the other joint the top of the hub.
And remember to cut your front bump stops, (probably down to about an inch. (otherwise you will have no travel at all)

A two leg puller will do it nicely.. Have done that to split both the joints numerous times. However to access the ball joint going into the hub you will have to push the driveshaft through. And undo where the arms meet at the base of the hub. 2 bolts 1 nut (well on a st205 but similar shit)
