Racecar friendly WOF mechanic wanted.

So, i'm on the lookout for a practical mechanic for getting a WOF for the racecar. One who will find and fail it on shit that actually matters (brakes suspension steering etc.), but not on stupid shit like not having sunvisors (which the rollcage gets in the way of anyhow)/ tiny spots of surface rust from stonechips anywhere near hinges etc.

Any recommendations? Prefer Onehunga/Penrose areas, but willing to travel if there is someone thats recommended for being a GC.

Don't know any in Soth Auckland, but if you want to go as far as the North Shore, then Chris at Sparg's Auto Tune, 62d Porana Road Glenfield, is the place to go.

He looks after and WOF's my starlet (with no sun visors), several other race cars, and races in the E30 series himself.

Peter Bainbridge in Blockhouse Bay handles that sort of stuff well. I take my pile of bits to him when it's actually on the road running.
