I've searched and searched and got just as many different answers.
What does the ecu-b fuse that is located in the frunk do?
I've seen everything from abs, dash cluster, ac, fog lights and so on.

I know this is for a Camry, but it may give you an idea.

Pages 22-25 of that PDF would suggest it ties in to the diagnostics plug and some of the ABS/SRS system, possibly only warning lights or relay feeds.

Wiring diagrams for US market sw20 suggest:
Diagnostic connector, ABS and Airbag ECU backup power.

Just Asking as my car has no fuse in there 
Service records mentioned a 'leak' was traced back to it around 2006.
Guessing it was an electrical drain on the battery?
Everything seems to work fine.

They probly cut that part of the circuit out and jumped it to +b1 (it probably joins to there further on in the circuit anyway) which supplies the diagnostic connector, ecu, junction block in the kickpanel (presuming it's in there somewhere, going off mk3 experience here lol). Easy way to check is see if there's 12v at +b in the diagnostic box.

I doubt there will be power at the diagnostic connector if it is the square box one,
they are only powered with the key on.
The US market would have had an ODBII plug which requires a permanent power feed.
