Cheap and easiest access semi-slicks?

Postby blackmk3 » Thu Aug 15, 2013 1:58 pm

So im looking at getting a spare set of rims for my MA70 supra to use for track duties. Just casually, Dual sprint/track days etc

In the past ive been running a few used 17" 225s Direzza 02G? (from memory without checking the car) semis, and been happy with them

Basically my question is, i can run 17s and above 16s don't clear the brakes. Whats the best size to get to get the cheap enough and easiest access semis?
Ive heard about people using the leftovers from the Porsche cup, Suzuki swifts etc etc

What do you guys run and where do you get them from?

Thanks
Nick

Have you ever thought of flagging semi's and just using Dunlop D11 or 14s

240/625/R17s there cheap as chips and there are quite alot around aswell.

I run Dirreza O3g Semi Slicks 215/45/17, have always bought 2nd hand. When ever I need another set just set up an email alert on TradeMe for semi slicks, and then trawl though until i find a suitable set.

From my experience it seems 15' and 17' are the most popular sizes.

So 17' would be your best option
