ABS or NON ABS model,

ABS makes the job worse.

ABS, I found the powersteering lines were more annoying than the ABS! And the fact the back 2 cylinders have almost no clearance between the coilpack and chassis rail. Still rather the 6 cylinder than the turbo model

Fitted another slightly tidier front bumper on the cough integra cough, prepping it for sale. Used my dent removal kit for the first time, did a great job

What dent kit you got?

Installed engine into escort, fitted exhaust, fuel tank, grill, headlights, other bits and bobs. Gearing it up to sell /burn if it doesn't sell.

It's a topmaq set bought on clearance a few months ago with dollys, different shaped mallets etc. Worked in the space I needed it with a suitable result

Made up brackets to hold new wastegate actuator

Also put turbo back on, and almost everything else. Car is outside so had to work between rain/hail showers. Just need to put a couple bits of intercooler piping back on, give it an oil change then double check i've connected everything up properly, already for Clubsport Sprint in the afternoon.

Installed my twin strap extinguisher bracket. Old one was a bitch to get off because the gearbox was in the way.
Installed the new on on top of the transmission tunnel.

Never thought the suction cup would work on deep dents like i had.

Anyway went and roughly matched a spray can to paint the car with, man metallic silver is a b@&*h to match. Don't have time to get spray store or the other places to match up a can.

Hey Dude,

How are you running the coils? Did you go full aftermarket or do something like a 7M COP conversion?

Cheers
Edward

Im going to be running an ECU for the GTE, and the coils/ignitor from a VVTI GTE, and deleting the dissy cap/leads, but retaining the dissy base for the cam and crank angle sensors.

Ill upload some pics to a host site, and then put a couple in here so you can see how much tidier it is with the GTE cam covers, and without the big mess of dissy cap/leads lol

Down the road, if I end up getting a stand alone, then I will use the CAS from the 7MGTE as its even lower profile than the billet cap I have on my dissy base

Removed old oil cooler on Friday night/fitted new one Saturday morning. Probably should have changed the oil at the same time, but that can wait till this weekend. Still need to organise a wheel alignment before the weekend too. Then time to go do sweet 20v skids at Manfeild :)

Why the VVTI coils and ignitor?

Checked out the corolla, sorted the fuel leaks and some wiring issues. Wired in the oil pressure gauge, cranked it over and tried starting only to have the starter die. Closed up garage, came inside and had a shower. Will check the starter tomorrow or put one of my spares on
