I get the feeling you're missing the whole point of the series. If you want to be competitive on a low budget, then this gives you that chance. You can't take it too seriously as you can't spend $$$$ on the cars. Sounds like a good bit of fun to me.

Bling you are spot on. 2k cup caters for standard cars, huge "niche"market, and with 46 cars at first Round proves that some people are looking for this type of starting point in Motorsport .

It was fine, some minor contact (rubbings racing type stuff) amongst the pointy end of the field but on the whole it was fine. Quite a spectacle seeing that many cars out on track at once. No major incidents in any of the rounds thus far though, and some great racing.

I personally preferred it in the wet, but it was all fun.
The scary bits were going into a corner flat out on relatively standard suspension knowing you were going to scrub out understear, looking across to your left at 3 other cars along side you hoping they would scrub out also.
Roll on the next round in Dec

Next Round is Sun 8th, at Hampton Downs. There are entries 60 cars in two grids, should be a good battle.

^ corolla was me, in fairness the engine was sad anyway. I Did see a stranded mr2 in the same session actually, before limping back to the pits myself.

At least two MR2s I know of, and a few other things I think. The 3SGEs desperately need a baffled sump for that turn, but the rules won't allow it.
