mx73 cressida suspention ???

Postby 79rolla » Sat Dec 28, 2013 10:51 pm

ok, i have a mx73 cressida witch i am building a track car out of on a low budget

was looking as getting some second hand nissan coilovers and modifying them to fit, including replacing rear shocks with coilovers

for now its just got standard struts with new shocks and dobi springs (witch i may cut) in the front, but has no springs in the rear, so need something

so, for thoes knowledgeable folk that are still here,
what can fit or be made to fit?

was mostly looking at nissan bits because there is an abundance of parts and they are cheep.

and no im not using a nissan body for several reasons, mostly i already have the cressida.

cheers for any advice

went to pick-a-part today and measured springs, was told oddisy springs fit but they are too small, ended up coming home with falcon rear springs, had to cut them down, but they fit.

still keen for advice for coilovers of proper upgrade.

Tup used koni coilover parts from george stocks in his 1jz gx71 and adapted them to the std suspension. the rear was a bit of a mish due to the swing arm arrangement but it worked out in the end. all certed too.
