I did read an article that these new cars and the aero solutions teams had come up with had them saying they were going to be butt ugly.

Yea, squeeze the designers into a box, and you can guarantee that almost all of them will be similarly ugly.

A la 2 years ago....only one team didnt have the drop nose, every other team came up with the same solution.

2014...the year of the anteaters lol

At least the McLaren designers spoke to each other, I think the lotus guys had a spat and didn't share some measurements with each other

Clearly each to their own, I like the Ferrari design! I was so pleased to see it didn't have dildo hanging off the front of the car. It's just beckoning to suck up all that AIR on it's way to another world championship ;)

Got to say its the best looking design so far, beats the single/double dildo the other teams have gone for

Having just seen some testing footage, there is no doubt the Ferrari is the most ridiculous!

You can imagine the force india drivers going into the first corner of a race and giving anyone infront a little bump. "oh no! the nose fell off"/sarcasm

So the drivers are saying they will be a lot more sideways this year.
All the chnges seem to have made it a lot harder to heat the tyres.
Will we see people running softs on the rear and mediums on the front? Are they allowed to do that?
Or will we see front tyre changes only to keep the warm tyres on the rear?

No, they arent allowed to run split compounds across the two axles.

The new tyres are going to be somewhat harder this year, so also, less sensitive too overheating, and also, such a narrow operating window.

I forsee very craft "torque control" being employed by all teams in order to keep both axles rubber at a similar heat

P.S Bahrain cant come soon enough

The first of the Bahrain tests this week and the Hulk set a faster lap time (1:36.880) than last years fastest lap during the race. Still a ways off last years pole and the circuits lap record (1:30.252 Michael Schumacher '04).

Thinking about putting $10 on Kimi or Rosberg for the championship.

Im following the second day of testing at the moment, and finally, the Renault engined cars are finally getting some laps in.

I will be placing a few carefully considered bets for the Drivers Championship too ;)

I can't see it with either if I'm honest both are basically #2's.What are they paying out of interest?

There are no odds at the TAB until the weekend of the first race, as they take all of the pre season testing form into account too.

I know what you mean. But it will be interesting to see how Hamiltons aggressive driving style manages the extra torque. And Kimi will be out to win.

Skybet has some odds out now. Not sure if you can bet though
