Action Dan

Postby toyotaspeed » Wed Feb 05, 2014 1:22 pm

Does anyone know how to get a hold of Dan?

I paid him upfront ($550) for one of his manifolds a few years back and he moved to Auz and never delivered the product or a refund. I chased him through email for a while, he said he would pay but never came through. After a while i forgot about it, but now I need the money and would really appreciate it if someone could provide contact details or advice on how to get my money back. He has done the same to several people on the Mitsi forum. I am not impressed with his actions, no pun intended.

Cheers

Its a pity you got burnt and had to post up on a forum. Threads like this can be damaging to someones buisness or image which is a shame because Dan is a talented fabricator.

I agree with Edyn. He built my current turbo manifold and he is very talented.

IF the story is true, talent doesn't mean shit if you take cash and don't deliver. It just makes you a talented thief.

A former member here had similar issues a couple of years ago (paid up front and action dan was transient from aus to nz etc) but kept Pursuing and did manage to get his cash back in full

Being burnt definately cuts deep, even after a couple of years. Been in the same situation on a few occasions, nothing worse.

Good luck getting your money back, OP. Being ripped off by other so called enthusiasts is never nice.

On the plus side, atleast he has now gone to the land of convicts, so is in good company...

These situations suck. I t could be a genuine mistake.
Toyotaspeed, two people say they have contact details for them.
Pm them and ask them to pm him on Facebook with your details and let him make contact.
Report the result back to an admin or mod.
I'm going to lock this until we hear more. If he had genuinely ripped you off (not saying we don't believe you, just giving him a chance to fix or give his side) then we can report it here.
