Will any ol' oil do?

Or should I be looking at something in particular?

Will be going into Repco this arvo to grab something....

Just 75/90w GL5 diff/gearbox oil

I just run the standard Valvoline 75/90w semi synthetic stuff

If you have a BNT local, you could always pick up some Redline 75w-90, If for nothing other than its extended drain interval time :)

Thanks.

I'll get some redline in a few weeks. For now I've just bought some repco Nulon 80W-90 'gearbox and diff oil' that will see me through Saturday.

I'll change it out for some redline when I get a chance to get there.

A bit silly that I'm rushing though and putting 'cheap' fluid in. But hey, with new bearings, lets call it running in oil haha

Wow that's an interesting combo for a diff. I guess it makes sense as it's a recommended solution for manual gearboxes, which is all a torsen is. No clutch packs etc....

I wouldnt bother changing the oil, now you have already put some in.

False economy and all that.

What you have now will more than suffice, so may as well get some use out of it.

If you are planning on attending a track day down the track, then I would drain it out prior to that, and get the RL in there :)

That is a very heavy weight, compared to the factory recommendation.

For full time track driving, it wouldnt be as much of a problem, but for a street car, I wouldnt recommend running it.
