ToyoDIY

Postby jaypines » Tue Mar 04, 2014 7:43 pm

Hey all, just going to ask if someone knows a workaround to show the pics/diagrams from the http://www.toyodiy.com/ website? Noticed the diagrams are not showing up lately or is it just me?

Apparently Toyota US went all legal on their asses.. so no more diagrams. I expect EPC torrents are getting busy about now.

Lame. That was actually useful when talking to Toyota for what part you were after when it was obscure.

exactly, you could get everything you needed with part numbers with the pictures and walk into the toyota shop and ask for exactly what you need, and be out of there in moments, rather than them staring at the computer for half an hour, humming and hoaring, asking you to pop over the counter and check to see if x is what you want ect

ah well, Mark\1I1 is amazing when it comes to finding parts, so it wont be so bad if this becomes a permanent thing

Went to use it yesterday to send a diagram through to someone and noticed this. Thought it was just the s**ty computer I was using at the time.

Not the first time Toyota USA has cracked down on this, remember something similar happening a few years ago?

I found this site that has diagrams, but you cant click on the picture to get the exact part number like toyodiy did.
This lists other cars not just toyota.

The catalog is intended to find and pinpoint original parts and spare parts for Toyota and Lexus vehicles. The catalog contains illustrations, names and part numbers of vehicles produced since the late sixties to the present. Search results for serial number or the body as close to the original data of the electronic catalog.

Anyone know how to configure the Toyota EPC? I've got a copy but can't get it working.

IIRC it will only work on a computer with very specific specs, i.e. exact HDD size and windows 98 or something?

Also keen to know the answer to the above. Have a copy I downloaded a week or so ago but haven't tried to install it yet, And have another copy coming with some parts sometime this month.

what EPC did you download? regional multidisc or the microcat installation? i had the regional multidisc running some years ago before upgrading my computer. It has something to do with having the correct disc names for every regions and read on a dvd or mounted on a virtual drive.

The regional multidisk version.

I can install it fine, but when I try and run through the CD setup screen I get all sorts of error.
