ST215 Rear engine mount...

Postby peas » Tue Mar 25, 2014 6:09 pm

Hey,

I have been told that replacing this requires the subframe to be dropped out?! I called BS on that but purely from a "replacing a serviceable part such as an engine mount couldn't possibly require such a procedure" standpoint not a professional opinion or experience. Anyone had an experience doing this or similar on manual conversions? Its an automatic Caldina GT. I am pretty keen to DIY it if its within those realms.

TIA

I believe it is possible to push out pressed in studs and slide the mount out, saying that dropping down sub frame is not that huge of a deal (about 30min max).

I didn't think that it could be super involved. Thanks for the info... Will climb under and have a look at it this weekend pending weather.
