Picking up this AE101 I bought off trademe, hope I can get it loaded onto a trailer without too many problems.
Gonna party so hard if it fires up after chucking a decent battery in it.

I have a soft spot for Primeras. Get a decent amount of performance for the price!

You should put a T28 on it.

Oh and to keep on topic: Got a wof on the Fuga this morning. Always makes it easier when the mechanic likes your car!

Those wheels would actually look pretty sweet if not chrome

Nothing on my own car, washed and polished the Mrs MX5 though. Means I get to drive it properly later

I should really go start and drive mine since rebolting the turbo down. Hopefully no more leaking.

They go ok, nothing really to write home about. Probably on par peak powerwise with a blacktop, though so much more torque. Do like how they handle though!

Man I love it, compared to a 20v it's amazing. Even compared to the Commodore it's pretty good, easily goes over the Haywards in 5th

They go well. Pretty hard on gas if you're just using them around town though :)

Got my AE101 home. Pretty happy with my purchase, Loading it onto a trailer by myself sucked.
Definitely has a rooted battery. AFM wiring has been chopped off by the diagnosis plug, one wire has been joined to something else (I only had 5 mins to have a close look) which I will assume is for the fuel pump relay.

Needs a good clean, paint is shabby.

More investigations today.

I suspect it will still be substantially cheaper than the commodore!

New best and worst open road fuel economy figures. Managed 18.4km/L just cruising and not overtaking anybody maintaining more than 75kph, then I decided I'd rather get back home before midnight and back to my normal 14-15km/l driving style.
Also managed a 40km stint on one of my favourite roads on the way down and the trip computer was down to 6.2km/L and still dropping when the brakes decided they didn't want to play that game anymore. :)
Reality: A nasty hallucination that is caused by excess blood in the alcohol stream.

Managed a 2nd in 4wd class (out if 15) and 6th overall (out of 46) at local sealed autocross, was a awesome flowing course and car couldn't have run better.
