You only see that many people because you're in the petrol station all the time putting $20 in

Your about half a day late with that burn

Put Cobra springs and TGP shocks into the 2002 Corolla.

Discovered that the Corolla race car has short stroke shocks, so there is no point in putting taller springs into it to go on gravel :(

Now I guess I'm looking for standard throw shocks for the race car.

Pulled the brakes off (for the last time!!) to put EBCs back in. Seems to be all good again. Went to put drivers caliper back on.....SNAP. Broke caliper bolt off in slider

So got out the drill, started drilling it out. Drill bit broke and went straight through my finger. Blood EVERYWHERE. Isn't turning out to be my day!

So have ended up getting it out, slider seems to have survived thank goodness. Just need to find a new caliper bolt :( Anyone know if caliper bolts are anything special or can I go match up at the bolt shop etc?

Took the car to get my Work Rezax IIs aligned on the soarer.
Could get the rears to tuck in the guards, but were still rubbing.

So took it back to how it was and they took it for a test drive, and broke my steering column in the process.
They took it to Pit Stop, but they weren't 100% on how it all fit together.
Took it to Toyota, and they didn't know either.

So bought a whole column from a wrecked soarer and bolted it in instead.

So it seems I need to flare my rears. Yaay

Stripped the gen2 block to modify for gen3 oil system, and cooling system. Need to take a trip to FSAE workshop and drill and tap some holes on the mill.

Also played the mix and match game with 3sgte parts.. gen3 rods won't fit into gen4 pistons, the gudgeon pin end is too wide for the piston.

Gen2, gen3 and gen 4 rods. (all from turbo, but same rods for 3SGE)

Took the fagR2 home last weekend.

Currently in the process of putting a new engine in.

Pictures to prove I actually moved it.

Modified gen2 3sgte for gen3 oil system, and started measuring everything to get clearances in spec.

How much did the new ones cost you please, mate?

I remember you telling me you had installed TRD bushes a while back, so were the ball joints gone in your old LCA's?

I thought I would be close to replacing mine, given the cars age, but the ball joints still seem to have no play in them. I bet the bushes do though :(

Pulled the exhaust off it again to repair the damaged Oxy sensor thread,
and started to work out how and where to make a larger radiator overflow bottle.

They were'nt cheap unfortunately Reith.

The old arms I have sitting around doing not much.

Tweaked the front a whole lot with the new wheel alignment though.

Yeah, last time I checked, they were circa $300 a side...Would be really keen to know what you paid, put it in a PM if you dont want to put it in this thread.

Were the old balljoints or bushes worn on the old arms? Interested to know what failed first on them.

Are you trying a completely new alignment? I added a little more camber front -2 deg and rear -1.5 before heading to taupo, but I wasnt even heating up the outside edge of the tyre anywhere near as much as the rest, so I could prob go back to the -1.5 deg front and -1 deg rear...interested to hear what settings you are trying out this time round.

Cheers mate

Think I paid around $500 for both uppers and a set of tie rod ends. Mine was due to flogged bushes, new arms had twice as meaty bushes too.

Put an R6 throttle on the CBR. 60 degrees of movement from no throttle to full throttle, previously 90 degrees. Much more fun

Replaced the high stop lamp in the spoiler of the FX with another one today as mine is getting a little dim, but the replacement one was 10x worse :x. Ended up putting my original one back in for now. I also replaced the rear garnish on it with a mint one. Previous one had a crack through the reflector on one side which pissed me off every time I looked at it. So the day wasn't a total loss luckily.
