Took it to the painters, will be looking pretty again by tomorrow night

It's taken 2 months and 6 days to get to this stage, have the 3 days between Easter and Anzac weekends off, so those 10 days will be dedicated to putting it all back together. If I remember how :?

Image

I should add it would not be at this stage without help from Mark (1I1) and Anthony (Anth_555), legends!

Swapped from coilovers back to factory shocks and springs, so i can enter a gravel autocross/sprint up on Queenstown. Look rediculasly high after being lowered for the last 3 years or so.

Will update with pic tomorrow

Today i installed some aftermarket tie rods in my mx5 to get more steering lock.
Will gain a little more when i raise it to a sensible height and get an alignment.
Can almost do a u-turn outside my garage now.

Replaced turbo-manifold bolts seeing as 3 had fallen out and it was a bit embarrasing to drive on the motoway pretending to be a rowdy tractor.

Discovered perished water line for turbo. Good time to find it I guess.

Reassembled car after denying repco the sale of $60 for 1m of rubber 3/8" hose (retail $180 apparently).

Purchased heater hose instead for $25/m. Still a ripoff as supercheap has 5/16" for $12/m but didn't have 3/8" in stock.

Topped up with coolant and away she goes :)

Brought my car home from the painters

I don't have any decent pictures yet, but as soon as I get a chance to take some pictures with decent light out I'll put some up, it's so shiny 8O

Subaru has finally been sold! Has to be one of the first cars I never got an emotional attachment over.

Now to try not spend it on cars. Must resist urge to supercharge the VK45

Sold the GF's AE101 Levin tonight for $1500. Bought her an AE101 Sprinter SE-G last week. 94,000km's, 2 elderly owners, mint condition. Not bad for $2250 :). First thing we're going to do is upgrade to facelift tail lights as the PFL ones look like shit, so that'll be a job for the weekend. Will do a facelift front bumper/grille swap at some stage too.
