Best race so far this season, easily i think. Another couple laps Nico would have had that whingy prat.

Interesting to see that Max Chilton was lapping the same pace as GP2 pole position....bit of a joke really.

Catching is one thing, passing is an..... oh wait, I forgot about to push to pass!!

So, the race is ON!!!!
For 3rd 4th and 5th....
Alonso? Seb and Ric. So far it seems that Redbull gave Seb Marks old car, so Alonso and Ric are prime for 3rd and 4th

Those Merc's look untouchable at the moment I just don't see where any team is going to catch these guys.

Hamilton & Rosberg are on fire.

Ferrari back to the drawing board hahahahahaha poor Alonso all that talent wasted in that red tomato of a race car Raikkonen lapped please Ferrari put up or GTFO.

Gutted for Mitch, indeed :( I really hope he can have some better luck soon as Monaco was an extremely strong weekend for him last year in GP3.

The Merc looked pretty solid in the final sector at Montmelo so I imagine they will be very strong in the Principality too, so unless RBR manage to bring alot more to the table, I can see it being the Lewis and Nico show again, hopefully this time with Nico the victor.

Tell you what it is good seeing 2 guys like that pushing as hard as they do.

It seem's Hamilton has his number but it is very interesting to hear how uneasy Hamilton sounds on the radio messaging that we get on TV.

Indeed, watching team mates racing hard is the most exciting part of F1, and it happens far to infrequently.

I think Lewis has it over one lap, but in race trim they are extremely close, and alot of this season will be decided on tyre compound choices and who can turn them on and keep them in their window for as long as possible. So far we have had very conservative selections, so lets hope once we get to the Super soft/soft races, things change a little...

I think Lewis has it all over Nico all things being equal.
If Lewis has a bad day Nico will beat him. But Nico needs something else as an advantage

Hamilton for me for out and out speed vs Nico but unfortunately it doesn't quiet work that way in F-1 lol.

Back to Ferrari's woes, for me its a huge mistake bringing Raikkonen onboard I just don't see what there end game is here.

They can't even give a guy like Alonso a decent car to try and take the fight to the Merc's & RBR its like there bleeding out his career.

I truly believe not many if anyone else could have dragged the performance out of the Ferrari that the Spaniard has the last 3 years but fair is fair he's pi**ing into the wind if they thinks that pile of crap is getting anywhere near those other 2 makers.Basically taking a knife to a gun fight your losing everytime.

As for that idiot monte whatever is name is that guys a DONKEY and if I were a driver I'd be saying it to taking my $$$$$ and bailing because there doing a crap job.

His team must ask him to just drive around and make it to the end, incase there is a chance to pick up a placing to jump them up the constructors championship. He was basically last every race last year. Must be depressing :D

My predictions for this weekend

1st Rosberg
2nd Hamilton
3rd Danny Ric

What I would like it to be
1st Danny Ric
2nd Rosberg
DNF Hamilton :D

I reserve the right to alter these after p3!

Well Mitch certainly got his weekend off to a great start...

Qualified 3rd but Haryanto got a penalty for impeding cars so Mitch moves to the front row.

If he can get the jump on Palmer off the line, we could be seeing a Kiwi on the top step of the Royal booth tonight :D

Indeed, a great race for Mitch, but no penalty for Palmer it seems.

It seems F1 and GP2 have slightly different rules in that regard, aa it wasnt an improperly fitted wheel, but was still their parts that went out into the fast lane, so Im very surprised at the double standards shown, but either way, lets hope Mitch can fight through the field from 7th, like he did last year :)

The Merc has more than a few trick bits with its PU this year, and the pre intercooler is a very unique one, thats for sure. I think splitting the turbo in two, with the compressor in front of the motor, and the turbine at the rear, with a linking shaft running through the "V" of the engine was a very inspired idea, and given the engine freeze, none of the other teams can enjoy the many benefits of running it.

Bring on FP3 and Quali tonight :)

God his attitude annoys me so much.

When he came into the sport, he had such a great attitude, and was a really likable character, but slowly over the years, he has become more and more unlikable, and brings it all upon himself.

Every time that he has outperformed Nico this year, Nico has been man enough to put on a smile, congratulate him, and pat him on the back...its a masssive shame for Lewis, and the sport that he cant pull his head out of his own arse and do the same.

Now he is just a really fast driver who is viewed as nothing more than a petulant sulky brat, with massive personality flaws.

I hope Nico can stay in the lead at the start and control the race from there, and retake the lead in the championship

A big shame that Mitch couldnt move further up the grid during the sprint race, but a solid weekend never the less.

Its going to be a tired monday after getting no sleep watching the GP and then the Indy 500....CMON SCOTT!!!!!!!!!

It could well be a case of his sole aim in life is to win. And anything that gets in the way of that is upsetting.
Even if so he needs to learn to be a man about it. Pat they guy on the back, say well done, then next time go beat him.
Even if you are gutted about it.

Should make for an interesting race. 630am alarm for work, do I watch the race? I'm useless with no sleep :?
