Nail>>>>Head....there is nothing wrong with existing to win, or getting annoyed about losing, but mutual respect goes along way in this sport.

Im so glad I can operate on no sleep, makes decisions like that so much easier, but Im more concerned about the witching hour between 3am and 4am when the F1 post race chat will wrap up, and the indy 500 starts.

I dont like coffee, but maybe I might put 3 teabags in my 3am cuppa lol

I've decided to watch the start, but I'll have to hit the sack at first pitstops!
Will catch as much of the 500 as I can at work

Good stuff, the start is always the exciting part an Monaco :)

Perhaps get a vipbox stream firing as soon as you get up, so you can have the 500 blasting in the background while you coffee, shower, shave etc ;)

Hamilton suggested Rosberg's actions were intentional, and in response added he would 'take a page' out of the book of hero Ayrton Senna as he "quite liked the way" the late three-times champions dealt with things, in reference to his bitter feud with Alain Prost

Not sure I'd be caught saying that sort of thing! If these two collide at some point lets remember that comment!

So, cunning move of the race? Lotus! For retiring Maldanado before he could cost them another car rebuild

I was wrong about Rosberg, I really thought he lacked that last bit of speed over Hamilton etc (in driver terms, not car)
Having said that getting away in first is most of the job there, I still reckon Hamilton is faster, but passing your team mate has to be near impossible at Monaco.
was some pretty ballsy passing moves lower down though! The Hulk for one!

The way I see it, Hamilton was faster. He was right behind in the whole race in the dirty air of Rosberg, had he been able to get through I think he would have pulled a bit of a gap. So thankful Ricciardo wasn't able to catch up that would have gutted me to the max. Also incredible how Vettel managed to fail yet again... Loving it!

Im just happy that Lauda has publicly said that Lewis attitude wasnt good enough on the podium, and that its band for the Merc brand, and he will be told to pull his socks up.

He doesnt have to be happy on the occasional days that hes beaten by Nico, but he does need to return the same common courtesy that Nico affords him when he, himself, wins, and pat him on the back and shake hands etc...its always good to see respect between rivals.

^ this is the shittest part of F1 or any top tier motorsport really.

They act like spoiled children when they dont get their own way.

You just got 2nd place in the worlds top motorsport for $&#$% sake!!!! you should be $&#$% ecstatic, Millions would literally kill to be where they are.

Riccardo is def a breath of fresh air in that respect, genuinely stoaked to be there / in the mix.

I don't mind Hamilton being the way he is it adds to the theatre end of the day who cares about your team mate he wants to win and he'll do it with any means needed.

Lets face it,it pretty much goes on in every team.I mean its not as though good old Seb is going to go congratulate the Aussie Battler Riccardo for kicking his AR$e.

There is nothing at all wrong with being shitty if you lose, especially at the level they are at, but if you cant be man enough to at least smile and shake your team mates hand when you are beaten, it makes you look pathetic...and it seems nearly the entire F1 world agrees with that, from team owners, to ex drivers, to stewards, to pretty much everyone.

I agree with you though in so much that its massively adding to the show though, its making riveting tv, and the after interviews are always gold too...

This season, as much as its now a two horse race is going to be remembered as one of the best in years, for many reasons.

Bring on Canada :)

That was so silly what Massa did... Not quite sure why? Someone was saying he was having steering issues earlier on. Vettel was so lucky he didn't get taken out!

Gutted as that Hamilton wasn't able to finish, let alone in first place. Still fairly well deserved win for Daniel and Vettel was pretty supportive and seemed genuinely happy up on the podium not so sure he'd have felt that way if it was Mark!

I dont think it was silly at all, and judging by the fact that Perez has been penalized, the stewards didnt think so either.

He clearly jinks off the racing line at the last second, moving a good half a metre to the left...ruining both of their races.

I would have loved to have seen Filipe on the podium today, but Im just glad he didnt t-bone Vettel as that would have made a scary accident far more serious.

A great race, as always, and so happy to see the happy one on the top step so early in his RBR career, regardless of the fact that the only reason he could win is because Merc were without 160hp of ERS, and when you consider they were without it for almost half the race, the fact Nico managed to finish, let along finish in second, was a clear sign of how far ahead they really are.

Normal service will resume at the next race I would expect.

Oh well, at the time all the footage I had seen was from the race replays and it looked from the video that massa had turned in on him. Must have been wrong angle or something.

Massa was committed and I really think Perez moved late and then it was over Massa had no where to go.

The biggest problem with this is Perez has a history of doing this sought of move.

27 G's into those barriers jeeezzzz and they both walked away the in car on board Perez's car showed how violent a hit he took into the barrier.

Yes, I was very happy to read that they were both released after checks, especially Filipe as he has already have severe head injuries in the past. 27g is nothing to scoff at, thats for sure.

Another massive problem was that Force India chose to not pull Sergio in after he had told them in no uncertain terms that his rear brakes were no longer working, which without a shadow of a doubt contributed to his accident with Massa. He was braking so much earlier that normal due to only having front brakes left.

A responsible team, and drivers engineer would not have allowed him to stay out with his car in that condition. And to be honest, they team should be punished for it, as much as Sergio.

Bottas had brake issues so Williams did the right thing and brough him in, Lewis had brake issues so the team retired him....it seems some teams clearly care more about their drivers, and the other drivers on track, than others do :(
